Welcome to 21st Romsey
(Nursling & Rownhams) Scout Group

The 21st Romsey (Nursling & Rownhams) Scout Group exists to provide high-quality Scouting for girls and boys in the age range 4-17 years.  The Group has been in existence in its present form since September 1963, although there have been Scouts in this area long before this.  We are situated between the busy city of Southampton and the thriving town of Romsey, and attract young people from the local villages of Nursling and Rownhams as well as Lordshill, Maybush, North Baddesley and other surrounding areas.

Our aim is to promote the development of young people, so that they achieve their full potential.  Scouting enables them to become responsible adults and members of their local, national and international communities.

The Scout Group is sectioned into Squirrels who are 4-6 years of age, Beavers 6 – 8 years of age, Cubs 8 – 10.5 years of age and Scouts 10.5 – 14 years of age.  Explorers, age 14 – 17 are arranged at District level, but a Unit meet in our H.Q.

We currently have two Squirrel Dreys, two Beaver Colonies, two Cub packs, two Scout Troops and one Explorer Unit.  Meetings are held weekly during school term time, with Squirrels on a Monday and Wednesday, Beavers and Cubs on Tuesdays or Thursdays, Scouts on Wednesdays or Fridays and Explorers on Mondays.  Out of term time there are often camps and other activities.

We are glad to accept new applications for membership.  Please refer to the contact us page for more details and the form to lodge an initial enquiry about joining.
