The 21st Romsey (Nursling & Rownhams) Scout Group exists to provide high-quality scouting for girls and boys in the age range 6-18 years. The Group has been in existence in its present form since September 1963, although there have been Scouts in this area long before this. We are situated between the busy city of Southampton and the thriving town of Romsey, and attract young people from the local villages of Nursling and Rownhams as well as Lordshill, Maybush, North Baddesley and other surrounding areas.
The aim is to promote the development of young people, so that they achieve their full potential. Scouting enables them to become responsible adults and members of their local, national and international communities.
The scout group is sectioned into Beavers 6-8 years of age, Cubs 8-10 1/2 years of age, Scouts 10 1/2-14 Years of age, (Explorers 14-18 currently arranged at district level)
Meetings are weekly with Beavers on a Tuesday & Thursday, Cubs on a Tuesday and Thursday and Scouts on a Friday.
Please refer to individual section pages for more information.
We are glad to accept new applications to each of the sections. Please refer to the contact us page for more details.
